Between the dates of December 9, 2022 and estimated to close on April 10, 2023 for the 2022 season.
Ski life Services at Panorama Ski Resort open as early as 9:30 AM and last to close is at 5:30 PM.
Panorama Ski Resort is famed for its incredibly steep vertical of 1,225 meters. Its highest lifted point is 2,365 meters and the lowest is 1,140 meters. This vertical is the third longest in Canada. The terrain is also below the tree line which makes for some great scenic experiences and enjoyment of the gladed areas.
Most of Panorama Mountain Resort’s terrain is suited to intermediate riders. However, there are ample opportunities for beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders on various parts of the slopes.

The terrain’s incline gets progressively steeper from the mountain’s base to the top. Most of the beginner slopes are located closer to the base near the village. Intermediate slopes are located further upslope with advanced terrain being near the summit.
Beginner Riding at Panorama Ski Resort
The beginner slopes at this resort are not very extensive, but provide ample opportunities for novices to get used to skiing and snowboarding at their own pace. These runs are also served by beginner-friendly lifts that include a chairlift and Magic Carpets. First-time skiers get VIP treatment by riding the Red Carpet Magic Carpet.
There is also a dedicated beginner run that is separated from other fast skiers in the nonboring runs. Novices get used to the slopes and naturally progress to more challenging lifts such as the J-bar and chairlifts as well as steeper blue runs.
Intermediate Riding at Panorama Ski Resort
This resort has extensive blue slopes with long cruisers that provide maximum enjoyment to intermediates. The most popular groomers include Skyline and Rollercoaster, which can be accessed via the gondola or Summit lift. However, the slopes on top of the Summit lift are too challenging for less confident beginners and are the next step for intermediates to progress to steeper slopes.
Daring intermediates can access the off-piste tracks at the Sun Bowl. They also delight in the open skiing features at the Alive Glades.
Terrain Parks at Panorama Ski Resort
This is resort is a haven for freestylers. It has two great terrain parks that also offer intermediate riding. Panorama Resorts terrain parks deviate from the norm by having jumps even though there are no pipes.
Advanced Terrain at Panorama Ski Resort.
The resort has plenty of advanced riding. Usually, the resort grooms a few black runs at night to allow riders to enjoy the steep slopes the next morning. Other advanced slopes are gladed and littered with moguls.
Expert Riding at Panorama Ski Resort
There is a great expert terrain below the tree line at the Extreme Dream Zone which also receives a decent powder fall. The named runs here are rated double black and feature impressive tree skiing opportunities.
There are also backcountry opportunities at the infamous Taynton Bowl which has tons of challenging features. Aside from the three lifts required to access this area, there is also the Monster X snowcat that operates during the weekend.
The resort has a network of 10 lifts of various kinds that allows revelers to get to various parts of the resort. The lifts include a gondola, 6 chairlifts, a J-bar, and 2 Magic Carpets. In addition to the lifts, the resort has a snowcat dubbed the Monster X. It provides access to the high terrain at the Goldie Plateau.
